    Interface RingBand

    One band of a body's ring system (see CelestialBody.rings) — e.g. Saturn's A, B and C rings are three bands, with the Cassini Division as the gap left between B and A.

    interface RingBand {
        name?: string;
        innerRadiusKm: number;
        outerRadiusKm: number;
        style?: "disc" | "particles";
        color?: string;
        opacity?: number;
        particleCount?: number;
    }

    name?: string
    innerRadiusKm: number
    outerRadiusKm: number
    style?: "disc" | "particles"

    'disc' (the default): a smooth, translucent band — dust and ice rings like Saturn's, too fine to show as individual particles. 'particles': a scatter of individual points — a ring of actual rocks, like an asteroid belt around a moon.

    color?: string
    opacity?: number

    0–1; how solid a 'disc' band reads. Defaults to a faint 0.35.

    particleCount?: number

    How many points a 'particles' band draws. Defaults to 600.
